But also, like you said, nothing wrong with it! But why are we watching a video of this? I mean kudos to her if that is what she wants but is this website the place to celebrate a plasticised standard of beauty towards which women are ever more pushed and pressured to follow?

Someone disagreed with your opinion and thus called you a "bitch" and you apologized? It seems to me that Gemmabeta could apologize to you.

She also looks less "ethnic" now, and more like a standardized ideal of "white" beauty which makes its inclusion in Jezebel all the more puzzling. Let's celebrate "good" plastic surgery? Just come to New York or San Francisco in which places everyone is becoming eerily symmetrical. I do not "get" at all the reason for

No guessing - she said in the video she had her lips injected with silicone a while back.

I watched more of the video than I probably needed to (lol) and she actually talks about how she had silicone put into her lips 17 or so years ago, and wants them reduced now to more natural levels. I mean, she does look more model-y after. But...idk. It's what I might want to look like in a photo, but not a video, if

I'm sorry, why are we reading this again?

much better?

God this is so harmful! there was nothing wrong with her! What sort of message does this send to young girls? I'm sorry, maybe I'm too old fashioned but there is nothing good about this. It sends a horrible message. I'm sorry this woman wasn't told as a child that she was beautiful just the way she was. This points to

Thank you for putting that a lot better than I could.

she looked pretty before, she is now looks like Helena Christensen

really I think most of the difference was makeup - she wasn't wearing any makeup in the before, in the after she is. I mean, if you look at most women pre and after makeup you'll see a similar transformation.

Yeah, I agree. Her old face had more animation and movement in it before. The lips, to be fair, were the result of old plastic surgery and so "fixing" them might actually be bringing her back to what they were before (except they still look kind of plastic).

I was thinking that too. She looks beautiful, don't get me wrong, but not quite real. Like it's a mask. And I thought it was strange that we have barely any video of her talking afterwards. Before her face was animated and she was talking. After, it's like she had to keep it very still in a very careful pose. The

It's extraordinarily skilled work and does look surprisingly natural relative to the amount of stuff she had done, but I'm going to take issue with one part of this post—and I say this as someone who had cosmetic surgery, for no reason other than 100% vanity—she did not have her nose and chin CORRECTED. There was not

This is depressing. What's the point of ever even accepting yourself the way you are if someone already nice-average looking undergoes drastic surgery and looks gorgeous?

dang, that transformation is cray

Cheek implants turn everyone into Lady Elaine Fairchilde, toots.

She looks more like a real doll than a human being.

Why is it that now matter how much someone spends on surgery they always end up looking like The Joker?

Well if you're Australian we'd say - George shits his daks!
