How did you get that from my post? I simply don't think that human beings should be slicing themselves into some arguably better more perfect version of themselves when there's nothing to 'fix'. That's what I call extreme body modification. But that's just my opinion.

I do already, but thank you for your post. :)

Oh I see the 'little lines'! They creep up on you. But since I still get the odd spot (skin of a teenager! Sometimes! Once a month! Go me!) I figure that everything balances out. ;)

You equate earrings/hair colouring/tattoos with major surgery?! Wow. Tough crowd.

Time was ... I'd secretly smile at the thought of all the future saggy-bottomed old ladies with tramp stamps. Now I have duck face to look forward to? Plastic surgery for everyone!

Lip fillers 101. ;) Thanks for the info.

Damn it. Came here just to post this. Nice one!

You're not wrong! And you write very eloquently — and as I said, have given me food for thought too. Which is great. I'm not just here to spout off on a topic and stick to it like glue (people like you help me grow and learn btw, if that doesn't sound too ... icky!).

Settle, petal. I wanted to see the transformation first off. And while I caught the majority of the clip and what she had to say: it is true that I didn't listen to the whole thing initially. I have now done so. Thank you for your post.

Oh, neither am I. I'm more concerned about strong forthright happening women dissing the feminist club. But I digress ... ;)

Yep. Got that now. Thanks. ;)

Ah ... 'reputable'. That's the key. And as Mark points out: we're so overwhelmed by the bad plastics tales, I guess it's difficult — for me at least — to see the wood from the goddamn trees, on occasion.

Very true. Body mods are not a new thing. But body tatts and piercings and similar are — to my mind — layering on one's natural look rather than straight-out altering them altogether. Again: just my opinion.

Thanks! Sorry — as I explained elsewhere, I didn't listen to the whole video. My mistake. But you've certainly enlightened me re the process! Thanks again.

I'm all FOR women doing exactly what they want, but when did society decide that picture-perfect model looks were The Right Looks and that what you were born with wasn't okay? I mean: we get all this SHIT pushed on us on an hourly basis — even if you don't read fashion magazines or tabloids, it's THERE with the

Good post.

The Backlash ... HAS .... BEGUN ... though. ;)

Hmm. I'm not going to change my original opinion on the slicing'n'dicing — I still think it's wrong, especially since she's transmogrified herself into some 'perfect' idea of beauty, which — looking at Miss Flower — is pretty 'white' —but thank you for your input re her choice. It isn't about what I prefer, true, but

I agree with this so much. Thank you. :)

Yes, yes, yes. So much this. She had this fabulous look — I swear — and then she goes and turns herself into an 'idea' of white beauty. Grrrr.
