Ugh thank you!!! I'm so glad someone said this. Are people reading??? The author is talking about the people who do it as a trend or bc they think (without real proof) that it will make them skinnier.

Wow. So I have to admit my ignorance in not knowing much about "the troubles" and paddys day as a whole. Thanks for the education. That is so fucked up...I'm so embarrassed that I ever ordered that drink.

His tiny hat just makes it so amazing. I love you Ron.

Yay! I'm so glad someone mentioned this. So true!

This is definitely true! Totally agreed.

Oh! Lol. I think I was so tired I missed that part. Sorry!

You said they increase liability, not complications. As many commenters have written on here, if a doctor does a section it's considered the most medical intervention. That means they did everything they could to save the baby and mother. That doesn't mean it isn't without complications, but it is very hard to sue a

I actually did do a study on all of the things you mentioned in your paragraph. It was my masters thesis. I'm just too tired from working in two different l & d departments to argue with you. But good for you and your opinions!

Agree with the other two commenters. Women absolutely are being bullied into it.

No one is saying there aren't medically needed c-sections. The problem is that doctors are telling women they are needed or are life threatening when they really aren't.

Incorrect

Me too! I heart her.

Right. Lol. Not wife

Your doula friend is totally wife. Your new midwife friend on Jezebel agrees as well.

I found an incorrect statement in pretty much every paragraph you wrote. I'm sorry, but a lot of what you wrote just isn't true.

I have helped many a post-op Cesarian mama to the toilet and yes, that's definitely a thing. It has nothing to do with choosing the less painful option. It's about convenience and vagina issues.

Why wouldn't they say that? It's certainly happening.

Agreed. As a person in midwife school, stay away from those suckers. Unnecessary 3/4ths of the time and so expensive.

As a very smart person who got a really great degree in nursing from a community college, I say booooo to you.

Ugh THANK YOU. People feeding animals is do maddening to me. In the adirondacks it's a serious problem because bears get so used to getting food they've started breaking into people's homes and cars. And once a bear gets tagged as a nuisance bear they have to kill it. So sad and awful. Leave animals alone! Just watch
