The Anthropic Principle at work. Wherever and whenever intelligent life arises, it seems like a miracle to that lifeform when they realize that the circumstances that gave them existence are so very improbable.
Perfect distance from the sun, perfect place in the galaxy, there’s a lot of factors. But in a few hundred years when the sun gets hotter, we won’t be in perfect spot anymore.

The casting is fucking amazing. Kate McKinnon is a fucking genius character comedian, as is Wiig, and McCarthy and ONeil are great too.

The problem, though, is that some people decided it wasn’t going to be good before there were any previews or clips or anything. It was just “Ghostbusters, with women” and a bunch of dudebros lost their minds. So it’s hard to sift through those people and honest opinions not based on misogyny.
