Or Defender. I don’t know why they refuse to save the humanoids.

Counterpoint: they are brilliantly funny.

Here’s the thing that people miss- there’s an entire generation- scratch that, generations - that are growing up and have grown up with the prequels as an intrinsic part of their Star Wars vocabulary. There’s countless fans out there- not just hardcore crazies, but fans from all walks of life- who’s childhood memories

I agree with the point of this article, but I don’t think you always live up to its lofty goals.

I think maybe people were spoiled by Harry Potter, who was a really likable (unrealistically, in my opinion) character. Quinton is shy , confused, insecure. He makes bad decisions because of this. In other words, he is normal. I don’t necessarily like him but I don’t hate him.

It’s nice that you prophesied this... After it was brought up on the Talking Dead and Nathan Fillion suggested it causing Chris Hardwick to reply that “The internet will make that happen.”

Eddie’s great in it.

I got better!

I think that’s a bit unfair. Bezos is aiming for space; he is in the race. Musk is ahead in some ways and Bezos is ahead in others. Did you read the linked statement?

Really? I never had a problem with his face, it looked pretty neutral to me, just a regular face, nothing special, which was quite refreshing, not every villain needs to have his face deformed. It’s his whiny emo teen attitude that I couldn’t understand.

I’ve seen it about 3 times myself and his face never elicited any laughs from the audience.

It’s not a matter of it being difficult, it’s a matter of someone else owning the international distribution rights for the content.

I think the issue, really, is that there’s not a good way to reframe racism with white people as the victims, especially when racism is still a huge societal problem and especially when the writer is white. Real world problems that real people currently experience should be written about by the people who experience

Underbites, be they human or robot, were a nuisance. At least humans could be fitted with a mouthguard to stop the grinding, but robots had to suffer until they could get the whole jaw replaced or properly reforged. There was no way Fec could afford either on a bloody private investigator’s salary. Correction: there

“it doesn’t make any damn sense, does it?”
“Query?”
“Yeah. A query without any answers. How long we been doing this?”
“Det Plummer’s time in police service: 16 years, or 51840 hours on clock est. Det Plummer’s time in self-employed service: 19 years, or 383 hours on clock est. Number Eight’s time online: 22 years. Number

Good thing we’ve got tomorrow to try, and the next day, and the next... ;)

Oh, please! Oh, PLEASE! Do it! DO IT!!! I want to see Rob’s head explode like that poor fucker in Scanners!

Honestly, though, after that terrible second episode, I can't blame anybody who doesn't have a ridiculous love for the Hellblazer comics for dropping the show. (My husband is excepted, this is the one DC Comics show he has to watch with me... until they make a Doom Patrol series..)
