Didn't try this when my kids were younger but I did used to send them to their rooms when they were driving me nuts by constantly bickering saying they were not allowed to talk with each other at all or they'd get into more trouble. Glad to know I wasn't the only one pleasantly surprised by that movie. I've never watched the source material, but that final race damn near had me in tears; the filmmakers had me so invested in the characters.

I love Speed Racer, and it's a masterpiece of structure and theme. Good call.

Hot Fuzz has a perfect screenplay. Every line is a joke or will be referenced later to make a joke. There is also an unbelievable amount of foreshadowing.

Speed Racer isn't on this list.

Anchorman is actually the only perfect movie in existence. Perfect storm of story and casting. If you doubt me re watch it. It's the dumbest fucking thing ever, and yet you could probably ask anyone on the planet who Ron Burgundy was and get a correct answer.
