I have their quantum 150/65 which was the highest I could get in a bundle. It is blazing fast. It is also expensive and they price their products so there is really no viable way to unbundle and use another VOIP provider or cut the cable cord.

I don't find the price that objectionable for what is solid PC guts, a good sized SSD with a screen. The screen is a bit lacking but these things are very unfairly compared in price to tablets. A shittier laptop is introduced with inferior tech for the same price and nobody bats an eye.
My gaming/HT PC is connected through a pre-pro and amp to Focal Chorus 8 series 5 speaker setup with a HSU VTF-3 sub. I also use Sennheisser HD 580s with this system which I picked up for a great price when they were being discontinued.
I'm in the opposite position, with work forcing us into iphones. I find myself forwarding docs to the 8x all the time, so I can read and edit. Hardware is part of the issue with the 4" screen on the iphone being too small, but native office on a phone is fantastic.
I have an 8x and an iphone 5. I moved from Android. I use my 8x about 80/20 compared to my iphone. I didn't have trouble moving over, although after doing so I migrated slowly to outlook, IE and Bing since they integrate so well with the phone, my W8 desktop and my Surface Pro.
I've been using it on a 50" 1080p screen and it works fine/looks great. I think you run into problems at different resolutions.
I would like them to fix the disaster of a music app. The metro version of Mediamonkey is ok, but if MS is going to have its own branded apps they should at least be functional.
I've been using XBMC for a long time, on both my HTPC, surface pro and a Mac Mini, using a harmony remote for the HTPC and Mac Mini and touchscreen skin on a surface. I tried Plex but had trouble with it because it seemed to eliminate the folder structure in which the files are arranged which resulted in a huge mess…
Nothing I've seen so far, in concept or proof, could make me switch from any of my vintage or modern mechanical watches that I can wind or that stays perpetually on time to a massive rectangular brick attached to two giant rubber or nylon straps that requires a charge and that at best resembles a mechanical watch face…
Apps have been picking up very steadily for WP8 over the past few weeks and a lot of the lesser versions have been optimized through updates.
Microsoft is not in the company of Google and apple?
These are going to look amazing, acid etched to the point where you can't see anything.
I take it Japan will begin broadcasting very limited content in 4k next year. At Yodobashi the only thing they had to show on those remarkable screens was aerial landscape footage, which I understand sells for hundreds of dollars in 4K.
These designs are great, but the costs for these types of projects typically run much higher than buying a bigger apartment. Space is not that precious yet and with proper zoning won't be for decades.
I feel ashamed for this guy's children.
The 4.5" inch screen is more appealing than the colors. After using a 4.3 inch 8X with a nice curved back for several months and being given an Iphone 5 a couple weeks ago, trying to use the tiny iphone is very difficult. It is hard to read and feels like it is going to fall out of my very average sized hands. …
Great. Until OLED we can all watch sets that turn every show and film into a Mexican soap opera.
I was given an iphone 5 last week after using a 4.3" HTC 8x since December. The iphone is disturbingly small to me now, it feels like it is going to slide right out of my hands. The sweet spot is definitely somewhere between 4.3-5" and maybe 5", I think 4.3 might even be a bit small as long as you can keep the body…
Does it have a repeater function to tell the time, or just an adjustable (remarkable) striker function? Either way this is badass.
It should be good news that the industry is improving and putting more pressure on Nokia. I thought the 808 or whatever had a better camera than the 920, so maybe the next gen hardware will improve on the 920 in Q4. At least I hope they refresh by Q4.
