So would all of the processing be done in the TV? Would it bitstream sound to a AV processor, or would we have to rely on its PCM signal? The whole thing would be a waste from my perspective, since I'm going to use a high end processor for other sources, but maybe I'm in a very small minority.

My T Mobile service is consistently excellent, I have a better data plan than the competitors, I always get a signal and I don't need some weird booster sold by the company to get the signal. I'm very happy with my 8x as well, and the SIII and Nexus were pretty nice devices as well.

No, not at all. It works flawlessly. My 8x is the best phone I've ever owned, the OS is terrific.
