this is nothing. Back in my day the norm was waiting months or more than a year for a japanese game to be localized.

Yeah 2004 doesn't make sense since Sonic got his first redesign away from the shorter, chubbier, cuter Sonic from the Genesis era when Sonic Adventure came out in 1998 in Japan.
I'm confused. So Sonic is having its first off year tomorrow since it appeared in 1993?
The realist in me says "new IP".
JFG is in the hands of Rare (and Microsoft) just like Perfect Dark, Banjo, Killer Instinct, Conker, Battletoads, Blast Corps, et al.
Time has shown that everything Rare worked on that wasn't somebody else's franchise before (Donkey Kong, Star Fox, James Bond) was kept as a Rare franchise and thus why we saw Conker, Perfect Dark, Banjo and Killer Instinct games on Xbox consoles.
It was in fact positively, 100%, bet your bottom dollar, fucking required to rescue every single damn bear in ever level if you wanted to have access to the last planet and the last boss of the game to see the ending.
only if theu reconsider to change the wild goose chase that it was hunting for every single Tribal bear. God I hated that.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Ouch, that hurt. And I love it that it hurts *maniacal laugh*
well that's one shitty ass law. What's keeping it from being changed?
wait, I'm not even remotely close to the gaming industry so let me get this straight: you're telling me people working there right now are still NOT unionized? How that possible? Holy fuck!
I'm with you, man. Mapping shield to Z, grab to C and jump to Dpad DOWN makes the Wiimote and Nunchuk option in my mind just as good if not better than a GC controller. And since analog shielding disappeared since Brawl the GC trigger advantage went out the window so other than the fact that it's wired I see no reason…
Analog triggers were great in Melee which actually supported analog triggers but for Smash WiiU they're moot since the game is designed to work with every controller and all of what Nintendo supports, except the GC ones, don't have analog triggers so that advantage goes out the window.
just throwing this out there: Persona >>>>>>> Blue Dragon
thanks for reminding me how horrible the character designs are in LO. Just look at that girl's neck!
It may have started as that but it evolved into its own thing. In fact in Japan they stopped putting the Shin Megami Tensei moniker in the title as early as Persona 3 (it may have been even earlier). Only outside Japan do they keep having the name SMT there. Hopefully they'll stop for Persona 5.
Like you said I have little reason to believe Microsoft will ever want to crack the japanese market again after trying so hard with the 360 and failing. You're obviously a big LO fan so if you think there's a sliver of a chance of getting a sequel on X1 by all means make sure you own an Xbox.
Saying that it means nothing is like saying "hey I got Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, screw KH3, right?". And even then I thibk KH DDD is more a sequel than Persona Q is which is "only" a spin off. But an incredibly good one at that.
Well you're meeting your first jRPG fan who played and loathed LO right now: me. I think it's an incredibly overrated game with God-awful character designs, horrible art direction, and graphics and animation that almost seems to belong on the OG Xbox (sans the HD). This is coming from someone who thinks the best RPG…
