C7 is peak corvette for me. C6 is too generic looking. But I’d agree with you if you said everything you just said about going from C7 to C8. The C7 is perfect and the C8 is too much.

I may be alone here buy I have always thought the C5 looks a lot better than the C6.

Having driven a Taycan Turbo, I can honestly say that nobody needs that kind of power on a public road; especially not a teenager. Even if this was the base RWD car, it still has more than enough power to make it “not a good car for your teenager”.

I noticed the same thing. Missed the light pole at the start of the wreck, neatly between the gas pumps, and into empty spaces in the parking lot. The only collateral damage (apart from the car, driver, and passenger) seems to be that blue “4" sign and landscaping.

The 2nd gen Probe is still a fantastic looking car. Especially in GT trim. I liked the understated lines on the Lincoln LS as well.

It’s amazing how it threaded the needle perfectly between two gas pumps. This could have been waaaaaaaay worse.

Oh yes, agreed 100%. It was awful then and still awful now. I do remember everything from Chrysler to Nissan rocking this look, but Toyota was the most egregious. And it wasn’t even limited to their lower-tier brands like Scion and Toyota; if you look at a Lexus RX from that era it is swathed in the same AIWA stereo…

You know, there are people with YouTube channels that take dash cam video clips of accidents. They are hilarious.

Bold assumption that no one has ever brought this up to the operating DOT, especially since the police have been called there on multiple occasions. Until the cost of sending cops out there outweighs whatever changes need to happen so people slow down, it is unlikely the municipality in charge will do anything.
