Call me pessimistic, but I really don’t think that if this years evo wasn’t so fucky, they wouldn’t be pulling out from this. They either would have stayed completely silent, or have issued some kind of generic statement about the situation.

I’m SURE these developers weren’t looking for a reason to pull their games out of that pending shitshow to begin with.

I find it really hard to enjoy Sonicfox as a competitor. SF plays fighting games like Bill Belichick coaches football: Using the cheapest, most exploitable characters and strategies to joylessly pound out the most efficient wins. Wooooooo, fuuuun.

The models still look like absolute abominations. I honestly don’t know who decided on this art direction, but its horrendous. Iron Man just looks all wrong.

The Pokemon fandom is weird because they’ll trash a game about battling Pokemon pretty much sight unseen but then go bonkers for a game where you take pictures of Pikachu.

I read a lot of the user reviews and for every “SJW iz bAD” take, there are probably 3 more that honestly DO NOT like what’s been done to Joel and Ellie’s characterization in this game. Even if they got rid of the lesbian and (trans?) signalling in the game this still would have been the result.

That’s...literally not what the hate is about. Many of the negative reviews are those who adored the Left Behind DLC and were heavily anticipating the game beforehand.

Given the general reactions I’ve seen around the net the last 24 hours, I don’t think that’s the case this time. I also don’t think it’s purely homophobes or gamergaters either. The first game resonated emotionally with a lot of people and it’s hard to watch characters you grew to love outright suffering.

What the fuck is arms?

The Last Jedi is a good movie, and a few minor edits away from being the best Star Wars movie overall. It contained more interesting ideas than Episodes 1-3, 7 and 9 combined.
