I know he's talking about context for the new film, but considering that the new film is inspired by the Dark Knight Returns I'd argue that my point still stands.

I highly recommend you check out the dark knight returns. Makes perfect sense once you know the original context.
I was not aware that there was a controller configuration. Sounds interesting, but I'm honestly not completely sold on the idea. I think my main problem with the concept is that you yourself admit that it's kinda a sub optimal solution for a competitive player in your description, and we're talking more about this…
actually I could get behind this. shouting the elements to me makes a lot more sense than trying to go through a scroll wheel, especially if you could just say their letter on the keyboard instead of "fire lightning" or something.
The basic reason that this has not been done is the number of elements that can be combined in spells and the number of ways a spell can be cast. It would be VERY hard (if not impossible) to key bind all of the things you need to be able to do to the limited buttons on a conventional controller.
The big thing that no one bothered to actually say for some reason is that there is no mining or creation. Yes you can mod, but you can't destroy the environment in any way, and you can't build anything (although there are talks of player homes being added later on, which would be built from blueprints that you'd…
A. Try mechwarrior online. It's actually very true to Battletech, all things considered.
Ex-military. when I was military I had no bills. I was getting like, 1.6K a month with no bills. Yeah... Also I've been using steam since october of 08.
* *Worth:* $4200.66
I never said it was a GOOD reason, I just said it was the reason that he gave. :P
Notch actually addressed why his game isn't on steam directly a while back. Apparently Valve has required in recent years that if a game offers DLC it is available to be purchased directly through the Steam client, although it can also be offered through other methods as well. This apparently was going to effect…
I'd suggest looking at the gameplay videos and the reviews. Looks like it has potential, but it's one of those mid level studios that aren't really indie anymore but don't have the funding of a group like ea, and buying a game from a group like that sight unseen tends to be a risky proposition.
Dark looks potentially interesting. Almost like the unholy spawn of vampire the masquerade and deus ex. Not running out to preorder it, mind you, but might get depending on reviews.
You can get Alan Wake on steam now, just as an FYI.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are the only reason that I bought a 360, primarily Lost Odyssey. I never finished Lost Odyssey though because the game forces stealth missions on you that combine horribly broken psychic guards with poor map designs and way too few checkpoints. Now I've sold my 360 and I doubt I'll ever…
could you give me some good examples of high quality old school dubstep? I enjoy well made electronica (although I tend to be more into the Psy and Goa Trance side of things) and I've been curious about the origins of the genre for a while, but what with the modern "dub step" having taken over so much it's really…
Might just be me, but I thought that was one of the most creative dubstep tracks I've ever heard. The integration of the actual gameplay sound effects was done well, and there was a real melody to it while still keeping the heavy distorted beats the genre is known for. If the team was to expand that into a full…
As someone else mentioned, it's pretty obvious that the additional cost has to do with the custom cooling parts more than it does the actual titan chips. Think about it, the size of the case doesn't increase with the additional parts, and yet they're having to liquid cool everything you stuff into it. a fully maxed…
Personally I go with EVGA. I've had a sli of 2 660ti cards running in my system for a few months now, and before that I was using a single 580 from EVGA, and in both cases I've had no complaints. They tend to factory overclock slightly without getting to crazy, and pricing tends to be pretty decent. If you're…
it might not be Gitaroo, but having played it for a few minutes after reading this article I'm happy to report that it's a lot of fun. Give it a try before discounting it.
