Not a fan I see. Personally I’m a fan of skilled lyricists be they Rap, Country, Pop, or Metal, and everything in between. I’d say give it a chance Rap has really branched out and has so many different sub genre’s that there’s bound to be some that appeals to you.

If he’s an avid rap fan and raps/sings along with a lot of his favorite songs and rappers I’d find it hard for him not to have it be part of his common lexicon. Like it or not that word and a large number of other negative terms are still a big part of rap.
