*YAWN*.

Sorry, all, but The Avengers is the single biggest piece of shit I have ever seen, and that includes the worst from SyFy. What an embarrassing hunk of trash this thing is, and any attempt to create hip relevancy is cynical commercialism.

It is, aside from being ridiculously illogical on numerous levels, completely uninvolving.

Yes, sorry, sarcasm doesn't always translate well in pure text.

Great - more crap that will cross-pollinate and contaminate our food supplies.

Not much "weighing in" there, in this blatant and empty commercial for Open Road Integrated Media.

Some of these are not CG, but qualify as DVE switcher effects.

Yes, it does both. I've used it over Google on the iPhone specifically for the latter. It's great, and its free.

Meh - I use Mapquest and have for some time now. It is fast, efficient, correct, and has offered turn-by-turn from the beginning.

Suddenly Sobe water sounds even less appealing...

Sorry, but this is 2012, and there were makeups being done forty years ago superior to this.

How influenced are you by genre content? Were you always a fan of such television, film and literature, or is it something you became interested in later?

I wasn't a kid when I saw this back then, but have always loved it. The aforementioned Deliverance sequence is a favorite. Creepy, creepy possums...

There is something always very wrong about taking Muppets and placing their heads on properly-proportioned humanoid bodies.

Oh, what utter nonsense. The Lucas bashing is really getting tired.

I find it slightly amusing that you and others complain about story relating to Lucas' version of the universe HE CREATED, and then claim this to be something "amazing" there is zero story here and just a bunch of pretty images...

No, no they aren't, but there is still a large amount of irony at play.

Many of the so-called Christians responding negatively to this are the same folks decrying what 'primitive animals' Muslims are for responding to the cheap YouTube trash of "The Innocence of Muslims".

But is this still the case with contemporary LCD and plasma TVs? They seem to far less cool than CRTs.

My god, this disaster aside, how PATHETIC is it that The Brave Little Toaster is the only work from (the brilliant) Thomas Disch to yet be adapted? It's especially heartbreaking considering that one of the reasons he killed himself was due to financial problems.
