Saw this earlier this morning, and I’m already in talks with a buddy of mine about building one based on the Auto Union Type A. Looks like a hilarious little summer project.

Given that your kart can only weigh 250 lbs... I’ll just go order your casket now. I’ll order one for me as well because I’m totally driving your kart after you die in it.
multi chainsaw engined motorcycle?
The Toyota Carolla is the most ordinary car of all the decades. Any decade that it wasn't made was simply due to the fact that people of the time couldn't be bothered to create something so average.
It's not a dune buggy.
I respectfully and passionately disagree. Many things are just more easy to figure out over the phone. Often, I'll give up on a text conversation and just call someone to make plans, or determine a meeting point or something like that. Also, I just like chatting with people! Perhaps that's where we diverge.
Based on the motor swap and exterior, which looks awesome, I was all set to give it NP.
I never said I like the car. Actually the one my dad got my sister was a miserable little car (for me when I had to drive it anyways). Although I like driving stick (I have a 13 manual fusion) my car at that time, a 93 Buick regal I purchased from my GRANDPA was by far a much more pleasurable car to drive.
I am probably not the first with this but whatever. You could buy 2 of these and have 1250 left. Which could probably be used to buy two more that are in slightly worse shape but still running. My dad bought one for my sister probably 12 years ago for $600, a convertible five speed. 4 cars for 5k with $50 left over…
Russia just needs more Novgorod class war ships. Those things were even more stable.
Nice writeup of an interesting, oft-intimidating sport. For those who are looking to hunt for the first time; killing your first animal will be a different experience for everyone but it's worth mentioning that it can be heavy.
4500 lbs empty yes. Usually it's loaded down to 5500-6000 lbs which I get about 7.5-8mpg. I also drive about 75 on the freeway with the trailer. 27 foot long with a massive wind board on the front. Weight isn't the problem nearly as much as the parachute type aerodynamics is.
On Ford's EcoBoost, the turbos are cooled by the oil and coolant. They also designed it in such a way thermodynamically that when the engine is turned off, the coolant continues to flow through the turbos without a pump, cooling them down and almost eliminating cooked oil in the turbos.
I don't blame you for posting that terrible example. This is the internet, most poeple believe what they see and don't bother researching anything.
Ermahgerd. When I was a teen in Florida I used to run at sunrise before school. I can't tell you how many times I've been purposefully hit on the head by the wings of a nervous mother burrowing owl. I also did rehabilitation work at Flamingo Gardens and I would talk like a goofball in a high voice to all the creatures…
It's also not stock, and in an unremarkable condition.
Doing that on something not made to do that is impressive. Doing that without a helmet is a bad idea. Doing that with your toddler with no helmet? Fucking moronic. Your wife may be dumb enough to not be concerned, but that is unjustifiably stupid.
If you're towing so close to the truck's limit, that these differences really matter, you should probably buy a bigger truck.
oh kiss my ass. How dare you call me a hipster. I like dogs and cars. I hate cats. Cats are hipster and I don't have a mustache.
