The guys who go postal? Never trust those guys! They’ll deliver a package of contraband, and then call the cops on you.

NEVER trust a right-hand-drive American automobile.

Honda is so lost. I feel terrible for Soichiro’s legacy. All of these Honda beancounters just keep micturating on his valued rug. It really tied the room together.

Maybe if this came out 8 years ago, people would love it, too

I’d hit that!

FL Drivers License Test:

This kid cheats so bad. Look at him grab the exhaust pipe right after the race. Cold fusion technology on board.

He’s right to some degree. A properly filed prospectus is basically a grim story of potential cataclysms and imminent failures. They are required to make it sound like hell, especially if they are in the oil and gas industry.

The market doesn’t know how to price R&D, until after they have a model for monetizing technology. The military once addressed this market failure by pursuing technology that had national security implications and that would be later monetized by the private sector.

It’s not better by every metric, and whoever has told you otherwise is just teaching you to play your role on the animal farm. Countries with socialized medicine tend to suppress payments to doctors, Rx companies, and medical device manufacturers. They benefit from R&D done in the US, though they don’t pay for any of

We don’t really have privatized healthcare. Sure, private companies own the assets and set the prices, but the private health insurance system that pays all of the bills is government subsidized. If you receive medical insurance from your employer, you don’t pay a penny of tax on the premiums, which are actually

You’ve done an excellent job describing federal medical spending, but not manufacturing, engineering, and research jobs through the DoD. Why do you think the manufacturing sector fell apart? Conspiracy by the rich people who owned the manufacturing companies?

I live in the real world, not the world of politically-motivated inflation adjusted witchcraft. We’re spending far less on defense as a function of national income (GDP) and total federal outlays. Tax revenue has remained relatively constant since WWII.

Racist against old people? That’s cute. What do you suppose will happen to government revenue when more people are working and paying taxes?

Look at the budget and US spending history, then tell me how military spending has been trending, and don’t give me some bullshit in 2011 real dollars.

Those are better places to cut spending. We’ve been cutting military spending for 40 years. More cuts aren’t going to fix anything.

Obamacare targeted 1/3 of the Medicare budget spent on frivolous, unsuccessful medical procedures performed in the final year of life (that’s about $200B), and ACA eliminated $700B in Medicare spending increases. Do you remember “death panels” and Obama’s grandma who got a hip replacement when she was terminal with

I’m not saying it is

If you don’t know the details of Erskine-Bowles and you haven’t been listening to Democrats and Republicans bellyache about the stratospheric spending inefficiency in Medicare, which is partially addressed by Obamacare, then nothing I say will change your mind.

It sounds like you just arrived here from 1972. If money is transferred from one middle-class spending program to another, it’s just reshuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic.
