Because the gameplay-loop is so air tight. It’s an extremely addictive hook that Destiny has, despite the idiocy and flat-out evil design surrounding it.

I’ve kept my Destiny copy around since I’ve already paid for HoW, but I shudder at the thought of the grind. Not sure I want to go back to it, no matter how tight the gameplay is.
I haven't finished the game, so I'm not gonna read that yet. But ooooo that area in the pic looks creepy, haven't gotten there :O
I’ve found multiplayer to be the soul of the Souls-series since I booted up Demon’s Souls the day it was released in the US. It’s as an impressive a feature of the games as the fantastic art, gameplay and level design. I generally scoffed at tacked-on multiplayer features in games prior, but the Souls games have made…
Catch the f***, hang the f***, eat tacos.
same here, I practically stumbled across Demon's Souls a few weeks before it was released. picked it up day one and my perspective on gaming changed drastically ever since.
thank the gaming-gods for From Software. gaming would be a lot more boring form of entertainment without them.
Even though I (and almost no one else aside from a few journo's) haven't ridden it yet, I don't see any indication of disappointment from H2. I find Kawasaki's decision to restrict the H2 (and they did) to a mere 207hp with ram-air to be spot-on simply because that's a silly amount of peak power for a street bike…
You know f*** all.
I admit to having done this, but it was more like: kick, downshift, go!
Agreed, it's done what few, if any games have done since in terms of balancing so many exceptional attributes. You really feel like "The Hunter" in subtle ways, not to mention The Hunter being a woman which is doubly badass.
Metroid Prime still does the best job of making it feel like "you're in the suit" amongst first-person games that I've played. Wish I hadn't played it a few times already so I could discover it all over again.
Having literally just finished the 3rd game five minutes ago, I've gotta say I'm not that thrilled for it. Way to many shootouts paired with mediocre gunplay. Even the characters occasional yell, "you kidding me? how many are there?!". Where's adventure?
Completely agree, not that GTA IV's script was mind-blowing at all, but Rockstar was clearly trying to say something, and have closure by the game's end. GTA V started with a compelling set-up, then went nowhere with it and somehow managed to become more vapid by the time the credits rolled. I lost a lot of respect…
Content, content, content. Many of us have played every single strike dozens of times. Since Bungie knew they had created an alarming lack of content, particularly relative to the leveling trajectory, they should've found a way to keep things fresh without having to create scores and scores of pre-scripted missions.…
Nothing! I finally weaned myself off of the demonic creation that is Destiny, then switched to Dragon Age: Inquisition which I thought might be a game of integrity and solid story-telling. Nope, it's fairly mediocre at best: laughable story, flimsy characters/motivations, and finally the rifts are boring to 'close'...…
If it weren't so heavy-handed with its fairy tale presentation, I'd be able to ignore it and get on with the gameplay (like so many games, unfortunately). But it really pushes that element to the forefront, then fumbles with really amateurish writing, even by gaming standards.
I tried enjoying Trine 2, but was really surprised how phoned-in the writing is. The narrator, visuals and music all clicked with me, but quality of the story seemed so generic and without personalty that I lasted about an hour.
