It feels really good to no longer be hypnotized by Destiny's weird combo of frighteningly-good gameplay and god-awful everything else. I still admittedly have it sitting on the shelf tho, foolishly thinking it might one day be restructured to respect its player base. Barely noteworthy patches like this are the reality

This past weekend I started to suffer from serious Destiny burn-out. The treadmill is so obviously right there in front of you, and I finally ran out of excuses to avoid fully acknowledging it, shutting the game off mid-session. There's something unhealthy about Destiny, the insane repetition of it. It's the MMO

Have any of you seen the leaked diagram of Destiny's gameplay loop? It's kinda scary.

Snyder was the biggest problem with the film. He does action and set pieces exceptionally well, but rarely does he create and direct a compelling character. That said, I liked the film, but there were times during where it didn't seem like Snyder really understood what he was doing.

A lack of content is absolutely Destiny's biggest problem. Even its flawed loot system and grinding would be 10x more tolerable if there were a lot more things to do and explore.

I like that stick-combo. I took your advice after the Grip-It post but that concave model on the left stick seems like a perfect set-up.

My goodness Sony has had a rough few weeks, their infrastructure seems about as robust as a house of cards. Glad I'm on vacation away from my console, I'd be pissed if I were home right now. Sorry for those who were screwed over by this.

My point about expression refers to nothing but the gameplay and I'd disagree that differing equipment in Destiny massively alters that opportunity to express for players (ok maybe at level 1). My opinion is strictly my own of course, and I know that I'm perhaps more discerning than some about gameplay subtleties.

Free ODST is better than a mere "sorry" I guess, but this entire trend of one broken release after another is the publisher's fault and no one else. Thinking of an eventual all-in-one compilation with Halo, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, Halo 4 and 5 is pretty exciting. Could even persuade me to buy a One, probably not, but maybe.

Glad you asked, because I've been trying to figure out how to articulate that. It's totally subjective of course, but it's in the subtleties and sheer amount of polish Bungie has put into the gameplay that turns button presses and joystick movements into a flowing stream of motion that allows punching, sliding, double

The game is on another level in terms of gameplay and the execution of combat scenarios with other players (i.e. co-op).

Jesus, sounds like they're releasing an entire game to patch... a game :/

It's too bad Valve couldn't have released a more complete message like:

while not a gamer sweater persay, a friend wore this onset the other day, it reset the bar for ugly/amazing sweaters imo...

read this you dipsh*t and you might learn something.

Has anyone managed to squeeze honest info out of Bungie regarding the oddity that is Destiny? Why the narrative presentation is sub-film school? How the grinding got so stretched out relative to the meager amount of content? When aliens secretly replaced Bungie's staff with asshats?

Bungie has gone from one my more respected devs, to among the biggest jerks I've seen in the industry. They've put stretching the player's time spent playing (at any cost) above making their product just plain fun. The grind-to-content ratio is just so massively out of balance it boggles the mind. It even dwarfs their

The idea of The Last Guardian not releasing on PS4 is ridiculous, of course it will... IF it gets released at all of course.

it's... amazing
