The more I read the more disingenuous and slimy MS comes off. They just so badly want to get into your living room to manage, track and profit all your media consumption. We don't know all of Sony's plans yet, but it feels a lot more hands-off than MS's approach. I think Sony's allowing of self-published indie games…

I realize Sony is just as big of a soulless, dumb corporation as MS (well maybe not as bad as MS), but that product release and seemingly all the details surrounding it make them look like as tone-deaf and moronic as any company I can think of.

Oh my goodness, stop with the stock-price BS already. Yes, all the major player's stock changed, and it'll change again tomorrow, and again the next day. Wait two years and then look at these companies to see what effect the latest-gen consoles have had on their value.

Absolutely in agreement that Dark Souls is a glaring omission, kinda renders the whole list illegitimate.

Truthfully haven't given MGR a go yet, and I had no idea so much DLC was planned for it post-release. This is the, what, 3rd expansion? I don't have a ton of gaming time right now, but I can't wait to pick up the eventual all-in-one release and chop stuff up.

Excellent rundown of the presentation. I'm excited for it, but much like GTAIV, I'm expecting a very familiar GTA-experience once the "new wears off", which happened really quickly in the 4th game. Still, R* has their own brand of gaming and its generally worth giving a shot.

Sounds like an interesting concept (David vs Goliath as a mp shooter), but MS will have to do a hell of a lot more than that to staunch the momentum Sony has going into the next-gen so far.

Might as well say, "you'll die, you just died, you're about to die, you've died 5 times and you don't even realize it, how're you still playing when you're this dead, buy our game so we can kill your face with BOARS, you can complete this game without being not-dead".

Thanks for all the encouragement and tips, I've vowed to complete it, especially having loved Demon's Souls and championing Dark Souls so many times around here. Back into the blackness... :P
