Whenever I hear someone say that Dark/Demon's Souls is for the hardcore gamer, I cringe a little. It's a bit middle-of-the-road and its difficulty doesn't strike me as genuine at all.

So does no one use their DS for more than 5-10 mins at a time? I'll play with my 3DS for 10 hours straight at times, most commonly about an hour or two before bed while laying down.It's been that way with the rest of my handhelds for years.

Aside from frame-rate issues (which doesn't necessarily plague games like DMC or NG, although it hardly gets to the point where it makes LoS anywhere near unplayable), anything you're saying here applies to other action games.
