This comment pretty much sums up how I was raised as well. My mother grew up around Hollywood when she was young and when I was old enough to start wanting to see/play the cool, violent stuff (Mortal Kombat, Blade, Spawn (I think I was in the second grade when I saw Blade in the theatres)), she talked to me about how

Maybe gamers should band together to create a copy-paste message to explain how parents should deal with their children. Something along the lines of:

Seriously, it looked pre-alpha. I was actively looking for the little transparent disclaimer the entire time.

My fucking hero.

I was joking because his comment was ridiculous.

Yes, Microsoft and games made for their console are a sign of the end times.

Now playing

No, Lords of Shadow was great, especially coming from a studio that had no prior experience with action games. The combat had depth, it was clear whether you were damaging an enemy or not (they even provided damage counters if the visual signals weren't already clear enough, and they are), enemies DID react to hits,

I could be too tired and making connections where they don't necessarily exist but, while we consider this ridiculous (which it is), why was it ok for people to be so up in arms over RE5's debut and its depiction of killing the infected, zombie natives? Is it somehow more credible to debate that we shouldn't have RE5

"...toting around your gamerscore on Xbox Live (do people even do that...?)"

Wow, Sega must be hurting big time to sink this low. Kudos to them if there's something actually to this but it sure doesn't look that way.

See, they're having fun! The game could totally be as good as Power Stone or Smash Bros. This game needs to be released already.

Just for all the naysayers, Geoff Keighly (sp?) stated before the show that there was one trailer that would be a bit tricky, that it would be related to something we're all familiar with but we'd have to piece together the clues left in the trailer to find out what the game actually is. It's obvious at this point

Until I started seeing all the crazy stuff and we got the close-up at the end of the trailer of the dude and his beard, I thought it was some very serious redirecting of the Kane and Lynch games, lol. But after the trailer, I got a HUGE MGS vibe so I wasn't entirely surprised to see all this stuff.

I can see that. ^_^

I'm always so shocked when comments like yours are made in response to anything. They lack so much intelligence and assume so much from nothing. Where did I say FPS games solely define a gamer? What in my comment displays a personality that would cause one to deduce that I'd find Sim City and Civilization (a treasured

No, the issue is that he's taking a studio that actually tries to do something innovative in gameplay and was basically saying Crytek games are on the same level as CoD, just prettier. If you've ever played Crysis 2, it's almost a crime to make a statement like that.

No problem! -_^

I'm really dying to see what extra features there might be for this. More characters? Stages? Costumes? I WANNA KNOW!

I can't say I felt hurried or anything of the sort with the original track, it was kind of ominous and dull. I prefer the GBA track for the level. While it's happier and I don't feel it necessarily compliments the level as much, I do feel more compelled to play the game when I hear it, I feel like I'm having more fun

So toss Crysis and Crytek under the bus? Real gamer, huh...
