It’s credit card money, but your credit card will get plenty of exercise keeping it going, BTDT. But if you like them, the price is good - just be aware it’s merely the down payment.

Included in that are a new alternator, water pump, and fuel pump, along with some freshened front struts.
oh jesus CHRIST i am like 5 miles from this thing. somebody talk me out of buying this my wife is gonna kill me
I would deduct the cost of decently painting back to the original color and negotiate downward from there.
That’s exactly where my record scratch kicked in too. If this is how the paint was done, what other cheap ass shortcuts are you going to find that will take so much more money to correct? I don’t know where to price this thing, but it ain’t 60K for me.
If you’re going to the trouble of changing a car’s paint color, you need to go all the way—yank the motor to shoot the engine compartment, underside the hood, trunk, underside of the trunk lid, door jambs—all of it. And here, despite the money spent on the car, that wasn’t done and the result looks completely crass.
I didn’t think so, but I found stuff online that says the the 2000 Camaro has a resetting breaker for the windows. If that’s true the Firebird would, too. It also said the Body Control Module solder joints are a common fault, there could be a short or an open there.
Yeah, had a friend with the Camaro version of this with the V6 and stick. It was fun to toss around, not quick but also not slow, the mechanicals were dead nuts reliable, and when things did break it was so cheap and easy to work on. It also got super impressive highway MPGs. Between the back seats and massive hatch,…
It was short-changed! It had just gotten back from the pool and the water was cold.
Those tinted windows, the lack of clarity on the mileage, the chrome wheels, the near three-decade age, the failing paint... this thing just feels sketch to me. Always listen to your gut. ND
It’s like everything. Spending more is always a case of diminishing returns once you get to “good enough”. There is far more difference between a shitty Walmart bike for $150 and your bike than your bike and a $3000 bike. It can be worth it if the differences are worth it to you, just like I think the differences and…
Hmmm, that’s just a little bit more than the law will allow
Well, yeah, if you do the paperwork and file for the permits, and make sure you do it with safety paramount in mind and not pulling some John Landis shit, then you can do all sorts of crazy shit and it is legal. But that is expensive to do, and not cool or edgy.
Story about seeing Tesla cars from space includes no images of seeing cars from space....
Nailed it.
I’ve said before that Tesla’s biggest advantage was the Supercharger network, but since that’s been opened up to anyone, people who want an EV are no longer funneled to Tesla.
Well my Spidey sense is tingling....
I dunno. The numbers seem “right”, including the depreciation curve, but why is this on craigslist and not on BAT or Cars and Bids? Maybe, it’s another “Honey, I tried . . .”? NP, I guess (waaay outside my budget . . .)
Long time reader, finally created a Kinja account as this is (was?) my neighbor’s car. We walked past it and her house every day before moving away just before covid.
In 1999 Nevada, in its infinite wisdom, decided that traffic infractions have to be ‘observed’ for recordings to be valid. Red light cameras dodge this by having a live video stream going to a command post, speed cameras are hand-held or on a tripod with a feed going to a nearby unit. So, no, they can’t prosecute on…
