It’s like someone ordered a limited appeal diesel model BMW, checked the box for the auto to eliminate interest from enthusiasts, and saddled it with about the least attractive paint and interior combo possible. Then, over the course of ownership took every opportunity to mod it with aftermarket parts to make it less

I owned a 1st gen RX-7 way back when. The rotary was like having a turbine under the hood—sucked for low-end torque, but did well at higher RPMs for its less-than-huge HP.  It’s a fun engine to rev.

Made up VIN tells us seller is not to be trusted. Clown Pipe!

Well that’s an easy ND for a Monday morning.

The fuel injection was so problematic, most had a carb retrofitted very early on, this one included.

I was about to make a joke about hiding the plates when the VIN is viewable to all, but he’s made up the VIN. And that’s enough for me to say that I’m just not interested in working with this seller. ND.

This is a 35 year old VW with six figures on the odometer, going for 3-4 times KBB value.

Low altitude elections can be ugly, they get to experience the yeet and then since not enough height for everything to sort and stabilize, nor enough time scrub off enough of the forward velocity from the fighter, can be some very fast and rough landings.

It’s one thing to figure out what was happening. It’s another thing to actually gather enough evidence that will stand up in trial against each individual involved.

I have no idea why Jalopnik staff has never proofread what they post.

Selling dude is pretty proud of his price:

Hot tip for selling your Mercedes coupe. Be sure to include the keyword “donk”.

If I was going to be looking at a car with full-on Airmatic and especially ABC, I would be taking a spray bottle of soapy water with me. Checking for leaks is not difficult on these. Hose down all the air suspension bits and watch for bubbles.

My first car was an 88 LeSabre with the 3800!

I’m surprised that an ‘89 Buick still used a carburetor and not fuel injection. I could see an econobox from this model year still using a carb, not a mid range car.

It was thoughtful for Buick to put ashtrays in the third seat for the kiddies.

This may technically be a ‘one owner’ if they bought it from the original owner and never did the appropriate re-registering?

If the owner thinks that a big ass stereo is more important than flywheel vibration, just think of all the other bad decisions this poor car has been through.

There is plenty of fault to go around here. You can’t call something “Full Self-Driving” that can’t see flashing crossing lights and a damned TRAIN across the road. And the driver is a complete and utter moron for not immediately taking control. My guess is that they were not really paying attention, because for dammed

Not sure what the head bolt fix costs these days for the Northstar.
