Yeah... Red Robin was a pre-pandemic birthday ritual for the grandkids, and was great for that: indulgent of children and, at least slightly off the lunch rush, able to seat a sizable party together. The burgers were pretty good—well above fast food, certainly; and I’d put them up against casual-dining competitors—but

The ad is down, so I guess somebody bit, but the long and especially silly laundry list of search engine trolls at the end (yeah, people are cross shopping this against a Jeep Cherokee) is worth an ND all by itself, never mind the condition and mileage...

I love the food you can cook with those (if you know what you’re doing —like a serious pizza oven, it’s a realtime performance where the difference between perfection and cremation can be a matter of seconds) but the idea of that much fire in a typical residential kitchen is kinda scary. A proper restaurant kitchen

Meanwhile, in Nevada:

It’s a tough one. The phaseout is going to have to be long. A lot of the US is dependent on natural gas for the big-inch uses like home heating (the biggest single item) and water heating, and cannot afford to retrofit (which as others have mentioned in this discussion can entail a lot more than just appliance cost,

Could well be the motivation, but you’d have to be really cookin’ up a storm to use anywhere near the gas that is consumed by the furnace, or even the water heater and clothes dryer.

Water heaters are well vented passively at all times, and as others have mentioned, gas furnaces are vented when on (and almost always have igniters rather than live pilots these days), and gas dryers have a blower that flings air outside with some enthusiasm. These appliances, if working properly, do not cause the

Every rental apartment and house I’ve ever had. I think it varies a lot with the part of the country; all-electric kitchens and even all-electric homes (and purpose-built apartment buildings) are vastly more popular in some places than others. I can’t readily find an AEK equivalent but here’s an all-electric-home

Well, it is a bug, but a common one. Valves wear with use, for instance, and I suspect that aging flex pipe is a pretty common source as well.  There are even plenty of old-school live-pilot stoves still in use.

Seems like just yesterday, but it was really all of 10 months ago...

People like to joke about the signs for a falling rock zone. Like, what am I supposed to do with that information?

It’s also worth recalling that just last year, a different study found that a lot of gas stoves leak natural gas even when off (when you’re probably not running the vent even if you have a good one that discharges to the outdoors) and also that cooking with them can release a fair bit of nitrogen oxides (NOx) into the

Ah, yes, the “hair lubricator” approach to ventilation. Very common (and not just in apartments), in my experience it is not terribly useful even for removing grease, and of course does nothing to expel contaminated air to the outdoors.

I get it, though. Failure to appear is sorta contempt-adjacent and never a good look. Even if what you feel contempt towards is not the authority of the court, but the plaintiff and the merits of the case, that’s for the judge to decide.

But... but... denying passengers their right to jump off a train sans platform and wander around the woods in the middle of winter is practically kidnapping, isn’t it? </s>

“All my oil leaked out, but I found my missing air pod, three french fries, and a corroded nickel on the floor board!”

> Overall, it kind of looks more like a 1960s Mopar product than anything else.

Pictures speak for themselves.

this would be a rad bad car for a college student or musician with a small budget

I’ve always liked Southwest. It may be a bus with wings, but they do their best to make it a nice bus, and their customer contact employees consistently act as though they’re reasonably happy to be doing what they’re doing, and if they can’t solve my (usually self inflicted) problem they are at least nice about it.
