I definitely think they are on to something. Games nowadays use both control sticks as the primary input. Think of fps's, which dominate the market today. Even those games which use the face buttons as extensively as the right joystick, don't require you to have your finger over it all the time.

If they were 1080p, they'd be selling them as 1080p's. I would assume they are 720p screens but sell them as 1080i's because consumers prefer larger numbers (and associate them with better quality).

Problem is that there isn't really such a thing as a 1080i lcd screen. That would be a 720p screen.

I'm surprised THIS wasn't mentioned in the article, it's by far one of the best ways to send webpages to your kindle for reading later. Calibre + Readability are why I have a Kindle really, this homegrown software makes it all so easy

Really? Just because something has linear progression in the story line does not mean that the gameplay is restricted. Plenty of games are very linear but provide choice to the player in a number of different ways.
