Thank you for saying this regarding the legal service. I suspect that several of the folks here repeating the argument that she was never served maybe have little to no personal experience with the court system (which is ok! Not everyone does!).

She never got severed but some how the court date got set without her being served? Come on. She got served and decided not show up. If he’s a bad man who is hurting the dog, show up to court with notarized statements from the professionals treating the dog, who can testify to the horrific abuse it has received. Get that put on the formal, public record and ask the judge to not restore this abuser’s ownership rights.
