These people are dumb. Their whole value system is bent around not judging\treating groups of people unfairly , but they’ll paint Boston\New England with the largest brush they can find.

Except the people who make the supplies to make Ken’s pies are also increasing their price for the same reason (Supply Chain), so not only will Ken’s labor cost go up, so will his supply chain costs.
Because then they will divest the stock, and prospective investors will invest somewhere else.
Until you consider that the place you buy all your supplies from will also have to increase their prices, so now your operating\inventory\supply chain costs increase as well....so you have to charge more than the 1% increase in labor.
They are in a tough position, because if the shareholders, or prospective shareholders, don’t see the investment as a means of profit, they will not invest. That hurts the company growth, and eventually, hurts the labor force of that company.
You have to also consider that the same increase will increase the supply chain costs. It’s a very interesting cause and effect study. I wish I had the time to compile all the supply chain data.
