I agree. I'm pretty excited to see it now, but I agree with most that the trailers haven't been doing it any favors. Everyone I know who sees the trailer is basically like "Uh... what the fuck is this?"

To repost a reply to John Hazard above: I think the show is pretty good. I had zero expectations for it, and have been pleasantly surprised so far. That being said, this latest episode was really excellent and should have been what they were doing from the start. It really shined the spotlight on the weaknesses of previous episodes for me.

Really? This is like a general consensus? I'll be... It's about a fifty fifty split amongst my peeps. I like Empire, myself. But I don't understand the disdain for Jedi either.

I suspect this is the lovely lady you are talking about. I've not actually read very far past her first appearance, but yeah... she's pretty bad ass indeed. Her name is Michonne and she was a para-legal, I believe.

Yeah. Exactly this. The whole point was to get him out on that sand skiff.

I think his point is that this entire article boils down to "This guy likes RotJ more than Empire?! WTF?!" As if that were somehow an aberration in geekdom.

I think you should expound on that idea, because I think I get what you are saying... maybe?

I agree. Can't think about the physics of it too much. If we get right down to it, none of them should be able to walk at all. Some of this you just have to suspend your disbelief for.

Yeah I agree with you. I loved this episode. As I read these reviews and people's complaints about the show I sometimes don't know if anyone really knows what they want this show to be. I think of zombie tv, and this is exactly the sort of episode I am hoping for. Not that it was perfect by any means.

Well Darryl is not in the comics at all, so he is what the show portrays him to be. As for the motorcycle, I do think it's his, but I think he "inherited" it from Merle. Not sure, to be honest. I remember being confused by that scene as well.

Perfect. Thanks. I'll follow your advice to the letter! I'm a pretty big anime fan in general, so I'm sure I will enjoy it. I'm used to adolescent protagonists with hefty doses of angst.

And now I'm depressed.

This is from Evangelion? Man... I gotta watch that show. Waaaaaay back in the 90's I watched like the first six episodes and loved every minute of it, but the cost to import the videos was outrageous back in the day. But now there are so many reboots and film versions I feel overwhelmed. Where do I start? Is there an

*Professor Bruttenholm (pronounced Broom)

Can it be listened to anywhere? I wanna hear that!

Yeah I agree. That's arguably the big nerdy money shot of the whole film. I'd be pissed if they showed me in the trailer.

Hahaha. I thought I was the only person who did this. To date I have purchased, read and never played Warhammer Fantasy, WH40K Rogue Trader, Mutants and Masterminds, and Pathfinder; plus the several 3.5 era D&D books that I got long after my gaming group fell apart just to read and never got the chance to actually use.

Very cool to know. I'm going to check that out. Thanks.
