I found myself in a similar situation, minus getting robbed. My 360’s disk drive broke after it took a tumble (thanks, drunk college friends) and I bought the PS3 international edition and ended up deciding that there was no way I could play through the entire game again.

Yup. Using a free app called LimeLight... which does exactly what the Shield does... Except it works over 4g from anywhere you have a good enough signal, as long as you set it up when you were at home.

The big problem with it is, it's only worthwhile feature is the ability to stream your PC games... That being said... Yep. I've had a Shield since it first came out, it works really well. They've made quite a few improvements since release too so now it can stream in 1080p rather than just 720p like when it came out.
