Map/Quest tracking in the game are both EXTREMELY simple and easy to understand. If you're spending 40 minutes reading all the text for the very fetch quests that you're complaining about having to do in the first place, then you obviously haven't realized that the text isn't that important and CAN be skipped. It

OP is just nitpicking for no reason.

True that.

I'd hate to break it to you, but the core concept of FFXIV is Storyline. The game is NOT about the combat, it is about the story. So if all you care about is getting right into the action, go play an action RPG or a shooter.

Honestly felt like he threw the match a bit to me. He could have one that but he played too defensively, imo.

Imo, this guy just shouldn't touch MMO's period from what I've read in his comments here.

They're 100% optional. The point of those quests is to get you all of the Aetherial Nodes so you can travel around the city more quickly.

The game doesn't actually make you run around in the city for an hour; one of the first quests you pick up has you go outside and start killing. It's all according to what you personally happen to pick up first and whether you decide "Let me finish all of these introductory quests first" or "I think I'll go outside

Or instead of watching other people play, he could resub and actually play the game for real.

It was established in episode IV though... and more or less confirmed in episode VI... And then re-established and re-confirmed in episode III....

No, it is an opinion. If you don't like that, you can go fuck yourself.

Whatever, man. As long as you realize that that's your opinion and not a fact, then you're entitled to think that.

I'm not gonna sit here and argue with someone who can't accept when things change.

They don't have to. With regards to the lore and how things work in the game's world, nothing has changed. The difference is only meant to add an extra gameplay mechanic for the players. Personally I like that they added this. *shrug*

Judging a game based on a trailer doesn't make any sense though.

I know trailers are SUPPOSED to make a game look good, and if they don't that's not a good thing, but just because a trailer is bad doesn't mean the game is bad.

Just saying.

It's really only like that to make the feature actually have a point rather than "just being there."

We all know that if it literally did nothing at all, people would probably be complaining about that too.

^ This.

The super soldier doesn't need to look down their sights, which is why it's their visor doing all the work. As a person playing as said super soldier though, you need to look down the sights to emulate the super soldier's awesomeness.

Just saying, all you people questioning the logic just need to stop questioning it.

They already explained this whole thing. Smart link IS the optics in their visor, it's not the physical use of the sights. They explained it in the video that introduced the H5 MP.

Although on that note, there's a difference between arguing that PSN is better versus saying that you prefer PSN because you get more free games, which is essentially what I'm getting at here. I like the free games from PSN, but no matter how many PS games I get for free, I will never consider it better than XBL

Wasn't aware of that, but regardless you still get to keep half of the games they give you permanently whereas PSN does not allow you to keep anything.
