It seems to me that this could be support for the theory that the vast majority of the galaxy is illiterate in Star Wars, and might also explain how there has seemingly been no technological development in that universe for thousands of years.

You can get a couple of adapters for @$100, which doesn't seem like too much.

MoCA bridges Ethernet over the coax that is almost ubiquitous in homes.

MoCA is your friend. I have had exceptional luck with the adapters, and coax is almost always run to a convenient spot in the room.
