While I would have liked to see more of what was happening elsewhere in the book, it worked for me in that it helped emphasize that Katniss was still a pawn who has no clue what's actually happening half the time. It wasn't a book about the plucky heroine single-handedly saving the day, but rather about a girl being

The difference is that I wouldn't write an article about how I've just discovered that being hungry isn't fun after only having ramen in my pantry for one day as if it were brand new information that has never been a problem for anyone else ever. If anyone's complaint is about something that has traditionally been a

I can't speak to all usages of "male tears", but in this case I definitely have no pity since I've been dealing with my own unwanted body hair since the Puberty Fairy hit me with the hairy leg stick. In this guy's article, there there's no acknowledgement that women have dealt with this shit on a regular basis, and

Yeah, I'm holding off on judgement of the heels until I see how they shoot her. If they don't make it super obvious she's wearing them, and actually have her as tall as Cavill and Affleck, I'm fine with them.

You can get it VOD now too, so there's no excuses.

Basically everyone needs to see it, because I have a lot of feelings about it and not enough people to talk about it with.

I was pathetically worried when I took it that I wouldn't get Hufflepuff. I've always favored the badgers, and the welcome message was perfect.

For me, I found that scene hilarious because Alison is generally hilarious, and would of course have both a rape whistle and pepper spray on her person when she's (if I remember correctly) in her super suburban neighborhood. Also, she was honestly doing a decent job against the two dudes. She got in a couple good

I'm 23 and largely in the same place. Have had two dates, but other than that, nada. My mother now periodically asks if I'm a lesbian. Nope. Just single. I'm really quite happy with my life right now, and I'm honestly not sure what I would do with a guy if I found one because I'm generally pretty busy, but I do

Nothing suits me like a suit!

I remember that coming up at the time, and if I remember correctly, she tweeted that it was planned.

A bunch of people at my office use "Thanks." as a signature in emails, and each and every time I spend a few seconds panicking that they're actually pissed off at me. This article makes me feel justified in that.

Um, it seems to me that most of the tall women on here are saying that people around them care a heck of a lot more about height than they do. Women who refuse to date guys shorter than them definitely exist, but most women commenting here seem to not care at all.

Personally, yeah, a guy who's taller than me is

I completely agree that athletes are considered more attractive. There's a big difference between standing a better chance of hooking up with a girl and thinking you deserve to, however.

At the end of the day, I think it comes down to men being told through media etc. since birth that if they succeed at something, they get to have a pretty girl. It's culture's tendency to view women as objects that people do something to "deserve".

I would watch the hell out of this. Now I'm depressed because it will never be a thing.

Same here, I did ballet almost up until I went to college and now do swing dancing, so everyone assumes I must be super together on the coordination front. Everyone is shocked when I constantly crash into walls for no reason.

This makes me so happy. I'm always scared that celebs who seem super nice aren't actually that awesome in real life.

I am remembering and using that phrase. I promise to give credit. "In the immortal words of Swertgreenthing, ..."

I think my basic speech pattern just tends to favor having two words to say. Depending on the situation, I use "boys and girls" and "ladies and gentlemen" sometimes too, so having another pair with "guys and gals" works for me.

I use "gals" as the equivalent of "guys". It sounds at least a little better to me than having to use "girls" all the time when referring to grown-ass women.
