Our town was a bit insular and catty and had a large private school. Very new-money, so unfortunately our best local legend is something along the lines of how that one girl had a foursome with three guys on prom night. Sigh.

I more or less unreservedly love this book.

Given the premise, I didn’t actually expect that this book would get as *dark* as it did. But it did. And then some. I thought that Milkwood (Tregllis’ previous series) was bleak. This is so, so, so much more so. And it involves brass robots.
