Clone Wars season 4 - the Darkness in Umbara arc. Jedi Master Pong Krell. You'll thank me.

Two notes! 1 - looks like the red lighsaber is flickering because of the wind/snow, and not necessarily because of the shoddiness?

Man, that seems like it would be where the plot of Rebels is going, isn't it?

I have a feeling that he's going to get killed off or sidelined at the end of season one, setting up either a confrontation with Vader, or a setup for a more formidable villain - Darth Maul, Ventress, even Bariss Offee are all dark side characters that might conceivably work for the Empire now.

I feel like Kanan's Imperial Patriot moment is a more or less direct callback to when you guys said he looked like the guy you bought weed from in Hawaii. He sounded like such a space-stoner in that moment.

Me too! I found it surprisingly easy. The focus was entirely on the first movie.

That crate they found, the one that Hera wouldn't let Sabine open, made me want to scream WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOOOOX like the end of se7en.

One of the things I liked most about you novel, and one of the biggest risks I think it took, was the sense of Deep Time which it employed, where you explore the future of the human race not a hundred or a thousand years into the future, but tens of thousands of years. Its hard for me to imagine a future where the

I also imagine that the cadets who are recruited as kids get more training and are groomed for better positions (ISB? Sector Moffs? Officers?) than the grunt-level bucket heads, which are implied to be conscription by Filoni et al.

It's a SPAAAAAACE NOOOOOOOOOOSE

DARTH REVAN WOULD LIKE A ROYALTY CHECK, PLEASE.

So, this was actually my favorite episode so far, and as a barometer of overall quality, probably on par with the best episodes from the first two seasons of The Clone Wars. Some little hings that I super enjoyed:

Oh my lord this is awesome. Eron Gjoni is missing from your list, however.

Man, I love Stross so much. He said he couldn't continue that series because he couldn't keep making the physics work. In my mind, he is literally the avenging fist of hard SF.

Teleportation is the most effective weapon ever created. Fighting another starship? Teleport their crew into space!

oh MAN. As always, being featured on this site makes me do the most awkward happy dance imaginable. I've been working on this costume quite extensively - the mask is mostly done at this point, and I've been fashioning a Groot suit, which you can see in the attached photo. I've been using an extremely helpful photoset

Rob Liefeld has never, NEVER been able to draw an entirely straight line.

Anyone who went to Disney World during their childhood, and who specifically encountered the "Star Tours" ride, this episode will make you go squee.

I AM GROOOOOT

better than Savage Oppress
