is the bimmer a manual?

if the information is "clumsily" accessed through the "unquestionably inferior" iDrive you must not know how to use it. I'm not trying to get into an argument or anything, but iDrive isn't bad or hard to use. Anyone who's read through the manual at least once has a grasp of how to use it.

I own an idrive equipped E90, if idrive is too complicated for you to use you shouldn't be driving. It's not hard to use at all, and if you can't figure it out just spend a few minutes looking at the manual.

NP. I'd imagine whatever replaces this most likely won't have 3 pedals and hydraulic steering (which I love in my E90, another reason why I didn't get an F30) so this will be a great buy.

That's understandable, but you can say the same of the 2005 honda odyssey. What's a good SUV with 3 rows for a family that needs to fit a person or two in the third row? My buddy really doesn't want to have to step up to a suburban or something else that big.
