Think of it like this: Depreciation on a 991 911 is gonna be a much bigger hit than that damn Volvo that was lemoned. Yeah, hopefully now you see why he wants full reimbursement.

NO DEAR GOD NO WHY AN M3!? HAVE MERCY WHY NOT ONE OF THESE?!?!?

I was just making a generalization about my area, jeeps are pretty common and many don't go off-road so many of the jeeps at local dealerships are fully optioned automatics.

If you get one with a hardtop you can easily trade it for a soft top + cash haha. My preference would be wrangler > Cherokee but that's just because I can't stand the front end of them

You'd think that dealerships would be more willing to negotiate on manual jeeps. I'd just go for a hard top, as it'll be an all season car, and I'll just remove it whenever the weather is nice.

That's pretty much all i would want in a jeep if I was buying one. Maybe the upgraded audio package but that's negotiable

Yeah if I was in the market for a new car that I'd be keeping for 2-4 years I'd go for a jeep. The depreciation won't be as bad as you think and you can potentially even save more money than leasing

Another advantage of buying new haha

Haha I'm just guessing off of your name and that comment, you don't like SUV's.

That's what I would do, no point in getting leather that'll beat up in the sun

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the 3.6. Supposedly it's much more suited for a DD. I wouldn't know, I don't own a jeep but that's good to hear as you never know, maybe I'll buy a jeep in the future haha

Haha jeeps are fun. I don't own one but I have plenty of friends who do. A manual transmission convertible you can take out in any weather, what's not to love?!

My brother has been looking at getting into a jeep so I'll definitely pass that on to him. Jeeps are an investment hahah

Just did a quick autotrader search: new 2014 wrangler unlimited @ local jeep dealer $32k. Similarly optioned 2011 jeep @ local audi dealer with 46k miles $28.5k

I'd have to go for an unlimited JK because I need the space, but I've always had a think for CJ's!

Nah a few members here actually drive jeeps. Bring on the hate, I'll gladly admit that I find jeeps fun.

Haha exactly

Another time it's better to buy new: Jeeps. Thanks to their ability to hold value buying a used jeep with 15-20k miles is maybe $1k less than a new one.. At least in my area.

Yeah the 1 series has really been hit by depreciation. It's great for used buyers

It can be had under 20k. I've done 2 NPOCP on oppositelock with 135's under 20k with low mileage
