Except you are completely off the mark here. This business is already providing a valuable service to tens of thousands of individuals who have no viable alternative. It is going to be brining in massive amounts of revenue in the near future as the constellation is finished and they start stealing customers from VSAT

1) the equipment works in all but the most extreme weather, they have already proven that through current users. Considering my wired ISP goes out on me in strong storms and I live in an urban area I’m not seeing the issue

They have already said that Starlink will never be a good replacement for urban / suburban ISP service because of the limited bandwidth. However they have also pointed out, rightly in my opinion, that 5G will fill that roll in the near future.

I agree with your sentiment but realistically the savior in that situation will be 5G. The costs and speeds of 5G in dense urban areas will achieve parity with ISPs in the near future. Starlink can’t handle the volume of customers, in such a small geographic area.

wow this article is complete bunk.

bond is also used to detain someone who is a danger to society, pending trial.

i mean, sure, but roads are infinitely more flexible. once the automated systems are fully developed you’ll get the best of both worlds

agreed. Although for that reason I actually would like to see the Democratic party rebranded. Personally I favor the ‘Reconstruction’ party

isn’t this explicitly addressed in the article as an old way of thinking that is being abandoned? You just saying you think it is a mistake?

i totally get what you are saying. however with the advent of electric cars and advanced AI supported self driving on the horizon the highways can become a virtual integrated mass transit system on the cheap with self driving electric busses

volt made zero sense. it virtually never was all electric. even with a full battery the car couldn’t drive all electric at highway speeds.

because they are just a gas car that has a slightly bigger battery. if range anxiety were truly the reason auto companies want to push PHEVs then they could introduce non combustion fuel cells.

lmao would love to hear some details as to how exactly that is possible

performance and technology is how I would measure a vehicle’s luxury. I’m buying a mode of transportation not a hand bag :)

I guess you are unaware that Tesla has service centers (more opening every month to cope with volume) and offers at home appointments where a service tech will show up at a location of your choice

the reason it isn’t fixed, yet, is because the assembly line is being changed several times a week. its impossible to dial everything in perfectly if you are constantly changing things. Normally I would say “then stop changing things” but the changes are making the cars more reliable/safer (introducing single piece

for 50K getting an electric car that is:

well he considers his jewish son in law white and the “Real” racists don’t consider jews white people.

call the police next time you know he’s driving drunk?

acting entitled due to an abundance of privilege is usually enough to get flagged as a Karen.
