Well for starters, it’s less reliable (pre-2010).
Also, I only drove the Murano and Maxima, both with a V6.
On a Sentra SE-R (2009), it’s HORRIBLE.

It’s a question of feeling, too.
Although I test-drove the Maxima SR, which is, I believe, the sharper variant of the Maxima.
Full-throtle gives you a solid torque-steer effect.

Excellent Ski-Doo analogy.
Although some CVTs are better.
For example, on the Maxima and Murano, the CVT is programmed to mimic a 7-speed automatic, and the downshifts are convincing.
