Was scouring old playlists and remembered this Georgia Anne Muldrow number. It is grimy and wonderful.

I was going to mention the Winchester Mystery House (which kinda sucks!) but even that’s in San Jose. Might lead the country in parking lots per capita though. That’s a plus.

You say that, but you’ve probably never watched an entire team of troops play basketball together. There’s really nothing they can’t do, to be honest.

Even the invite list was pretty uninspiring when compared to the most recent Olympic team. That said, a lot of those dudes are shelved this summer (Paul George, Durant, Klay, Oladipo).

That’s amazing. I was too young to get what was going on but all I remember is it feeling unfair how much better he was than everyone else on defense. BRB. Gonna go watch some highlights and gawk for a while.

He had like three or four games with more than 300 yards. Just a complete monster.

My first live sports memory is the 1988 Holiday Bowl. I was seven. I didn’t know who Barry Sanders was, and, in fact, waited halfway through the second quarter before I asked my dad “who is the orange man?” He went for 5 TDs and 222 yards on 29 attempts. It’s like his fifth best game that year. He really was this cool

“What could possibly go wrong?”

By who exactly? It’s wide open!

Yeah, but it didn’t work! The Bucks were the 19th best defense the year before Kidd got fired and the 26th worst when he did eventually get fired (the year w/o Dudley). Kidd’s scheme was garbage held together by long, talented defenders. He sucks ass.

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like.

Giannis kinda leapt into the top five last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if he kept ascending. His jumper could use work but that’s about it. And it’s not bad by any stretch. Agree w/ everything else in there. Think we’ll see a vintage Curry season, Kawhi doing another 60-game load-management thing before being

I think we underrate Melo generally, but him mopping up Slovakia isn’t exactly where I’d start. His career reminds me a little of T-Mac’s: a great pure scorer who could get you 30 on any night but one who never quite found the right pieces around him to be successful in the playoffs.

Yeah, I’m not sure we can proclaim LeBron the best player in the league when he didn’t make the playoffs and amassed a .500 record in the games he actually played in. He’s still great but that ship has sailed.

One nation, under Iron Man, indivisible, now and till the hour of our death.

It’s the best signing they’ve made this summer. Which is to say both that I like the risk and that the rest of their signings are laughably bad. They’re really bringing back KCP and Rondo and Javale. They’re actually doing that.

They managed to secure two of the best ten players in the NBA and I’m not sure they get out of the second round. Every ancillary move is questionable at best and holding out hope for Kawhi was always kind of dumb: why would a guy who’s beaten LeBron and the Warriors dynasty be keen to play second fiddle to an aging

I watched a lot of Warriors games. The numbers are painting a generous picture. He looked slow and washed.

I’d also be happy to exchange some insults if you’re feeling at sea.

Here’s the thing though: KCP’s best season is a mediocrity (it also might’ve been the season he was on house arrest for a DUI, which was deeply weird and kind of fucked). He’s a low-40s shooter without much vision and he doesn’t rebound or do anything special on defense. It just feels like a Klutch tax the Lakers are
