Chris Cohan would never have done this. Mostly because he’d have trained Durant for the rights to Marvin Bagley III.

You’re right as far as age goes. I think Looney came into his own last year and was crucial in the Rockets series–they tried bum hunting him and it just didn’t work. He’s limited obviously (he’s pretty groundbound after the surgeries) but his defensive instincts are legit. Bell is bouncy and got delayed by injuries

Amazingly enough, the only player I think they’ll genuinely miss is Javale. Nick Young, Pat McCaw, and Omri Casspi were net negatives while David West aged out pretty hard during the year. Otherwise, they didn’t really lose anyone they couldn’t afford to.

The best and funniest subplot of the Jason Tatum experience is Kobe vicariously trying to soak up his shine with thinkovating hashtaggery.

The East has a chance to be fun now that LeBron has relocated to Varsity conference and Giannis, in my mind, is the best player in the conference at this point. If they up the pace (which by all accounts they’re trying to), he could end up with something like 31/8/8 and at least two waitwhatthefuckwasthat highlights

He teammates seemed genuinely stoked for him too, which, while he’s a super magnetic dude generally, feels important. If they don’t view this as some bogus farce, that’s really all you need.

Yeah, I think he’s credited as the first guy to ever use an analogy.

They all have one important thing in common: me not clicking on them.

“Also hearing a lot of players were entranced by Butler’s unique aroma and animal magnetism. Several asked if they could move in with him and just marinate themselves in his powerful, masculine splendor.”

Now playing

Went down a related artist rabbit hole and found this today. Properly grimy.

I clicked on some link to a Suns fan blog and the dudes they were throwing out as PG targets for their first rounder were Tyus Jones, Teodosic, Ish Smith, and Fred VanVleet.

He’s the only player I’ve ever seen remake his shot into something slower and worse. I hope he figures it out but his form makes Shawn Marion’s look proper.

“Yeah, it was a long one

Nothing screams “keep politics out of sports” like whining to the president about your sports book.

Is this a galaxy-brain preemptive strike against the upcoming Wizards season?

That was in 1996, clown. And if you read the above as a threat versus, you know, the fact of Kaepernick’s continued blackballing or everything else we’ve seen from the NFL, you’re as dumb as your original comment suggests.

Show me this threat of punishment to enforce the anthem policy. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

This isn’t Infowars, man. You can’t just say stuff and expect people to nod along.

While the NBA demonstrably treats its labor better than the NFL and doesn’t do the egregious flag humping and military cosplay thing the NFL does, I’m not sure people believe it’s “woke.” It’s just a lot better than the NFL at this stuff. Admittedly, is a very low bar to clear, but there are real differences here you

It’s an Adam Silver vs. David Stern thing you’re arguing here. And if you’re also arguing that the NBA hasn’t evolved some of its thinking during that transition, you’re wrong. The dress code was racist and shitty and fucked. And guess what? It’s gone.
