In what world are the Rockets, who took the Warriors to seven even after a CP3 injury, not “one of the favorites for next year’s title”?

While it is most definitely a typo, I prefer to live in a world where “GM Daryl Money” is the title of Daryl Morey’s eponymous trap album.

Still, Booker is a remarkably prolific scorer for such a young player...

This is largely how I feel, though I feel like his skillset (great defense, elite annoying pestiness) would translate well with any good team. On a bad team, I feel like he just ends up taking too many shots and telling the young guys how this isn’t the way they did it in Boston.

I don’t know exactly why Marcus Smart is really good but I also know Marcus Smart is really good. It’s confusing, I know. But he’s definitely worth more than a one-year $6 million deal.

Zach Lowe’s piece on this today makes it sound even worse than that!

There are not 13 better centers than Steven Adams. Especially next to Russ. Cmon man

I hate Harden’s game but he’s head and shoulders above Russ, who has managed three playoff victories in two years running the show.

Steven Adams deal looks fine to me. He’d probably get 17 or 18 now, but it’s not like the Evan Fournier or Biyombo deals.

Slurp that coffee back up, my guy. Steven Adams is a really good center!

The Warriors can’t re-sign Cousins at anything above 120% of what he’s getting paid next season. It’s basically a fling.

Ah, yes. You’re totally right here. Feel like Philly was around the floor a few years back but can’t remember too many others.

This is a fair point. And man. A Magic fan. Godspeed. It’s been a rough decade.

Check my first sentence. I expressly agreed with you!

If your owner is going to get into a bidding war over Evan Fournier, your owner is bad.

The spike created a small subset of replacement-level (or below) players that made star money. This is really on the teams that decided those guys were worth tens of millions instead of the midlevel.

The lack of smoothing most definitely lead directly to the Durant signing. For other teams, it led to spending $17 mil annually on Evan Fournier.

You’re assuming I buy into the idea that Trevor Ariza is somehow irreplaceable. I don’t really buy into that idea.
