I’m partisan here but it feels like the Warriors are both playing really well on defense and getting a favorable whistle. New Orleans got cooked in Game 1, but last night the Warriors got a few calls I remember watching and thinking “that one’s a gift.”

In fairness, it wasn’t much of an era. It was more of “makes sense we’d sign Cherokee fucking Parks” era. Those clowns couldn’t even keep the We Believe team together for more than 6 months. Still bitter Cohan traded J. Rich. Basura.

I’m not asking you to root for them, my dude. I’m just saying they play super fun basketball, especially in comparison to the Rockets.

The only thing I can compare it to is that Pistons team that beat the Karl Malone-iteration of the Lakers. Both were a complete delight. And that was as fun as the Spurs ever were to me. Just ridiculous ball movement, guys flying everywhere, crafty veterans reshaping their games, and on and on. Was a good test of

Mutual admiration society here: the Spurs team that beat the Heat played really similarly, just without the scorched earth possibilities. That said, Manu was on that team and he’s both one of my favorite players ever and a guy that swatted a bat.

At Least He Tried: The Adonal Foyle Story

1- That’s a phenomenal pull.

Chris Gatling being the best of three draft picks sums up that era better than I ever could.

Honestly? I don’t think so. People hate successful teams and successful teams also bring out the worst in a subset of any fanbase (plus oodles of bandwagoners).

Oh, my friend. I’ve been in the Bay for 20 years and rooted for Cherokee Parks, Corey Maggette, Andris Biedrins, and all the other regrettable chuds that scurried through here. The Steph Curry era has been an utter delight and when it ends I will have less fun watching hoop.

It’s very easy to understand why people root against the Warriors but with Steph back, they’re just so goddamn fun. It’s what’s always left me cold about Houston: I know they’re terrifying, but iso, iso, iso, step back, iso, iso, necksnap isn’t the really most aesthetically pleasing experience.

Terry Rozier is blessed, though.

Good riddance, Team Studio Gangster.

C’mon, man. Harden was an MVP candidate playing against the Spurs without Kawhi. He looked disengaged and he sucked very badly in that game. You remember this.

Straight up: The Jazz were better. They lost Rubio and were discombobulated for a lot of the first half because of it. They’d scored 30 points in 20 minutes before Joe Ingles made a couple clutch threes. Mitchell picked up at least one questionable foul and had to sit with 5 fouls early in the 4th. Alec Burks has been

I think it’s a Casio.

I mean, Westbrook’s a maniac. He’s going to shoot a lot. He’s going to dominate the ball. This is what he does. This is why people love him and why other people are dubious about how successful he can be. Not sure that noting a guy shot 39 times makes you a “hater” other than “a guy that read the box score.”

“Whether or not this is sustainable depends on whether you think Westbrook can shoot the long ball like this again”

I was talking starters these playoffs. West has been tremendous this year, but he’s pretty locked as a 2nd/4th quarter guy. Agree that he’s been preposterously money from the midrange this year though.
