It's an advertisement for a case. Launching it from the upper atmosphere is much more impressive than the 50ft or so it needs for TV.

Because it will only get you to the edge of the atmosphere. Helium is less dense than air, so it "floats" in air like a bubble in water. Bubbles in water float to a point where the downward force of gravity and the upward force of lower density equalizes: the surface of the water.

I think Gizmodo writers have a contest going; who can sneak through the most mistakes in an article. Does it even count as "sneaking through" if there is no oversight or editing?

"Check out that MHL to HDMI adapter above. Get used to seeing it."

i love how phones are so much more useful now thansk to apple flooding the market with iphone.

If this kind of thing interests you, you can do a more hands-on modification version in electric or gas for less than half the price. I have a gas 48cc engine mounted on an old mountain bike. At the time I bought it, it was about $200, but I've seen them for less (try SpookyToothCycles, a little more expensive, but

Aaaaaaaaaand.... it's gone. No longer shows in results in the app store.

This is still in beta, you can't sign up. I'm on the waiting list.

So.... it's still a good rule of thumb. I just said ripe for bannishment. I didn't say it was guarenteed.

I don't consider a 13.3" Macbook Air to be a Peripheral, should be in laptop category.

So you've ruled out hardware failures, and you haven't even seen the issue first hand? You're amazing.

Rule of thumb: anything involving loading outside code (roms) is ripe for bannishment by apple. Better to grab it first and figure out whether you need it later. iDOS got banned.

iPhone Explorer, which appears to have been renamed iExplorer.

inb4 it got banned. Not that it got banned yet. But I give it an 80% chance of being banhammered by Steve from beyond the beyond before the week is out.

Back in middle school (early 90's) I swallowed a rubber ring off the end of a novelty pen. It was probably a centimeter in diameter, maybe 2 mm thick. I still wonder if it's in my stomach.

I forgot to mention how being republican means you divert attention and avoid talking about the problem at hand. Like you just did by ignoring the fact that Gizmodo never promised they were a gadget-only blog.

"If Apple drops compatibility for hardware in your laptop or makes changes in the kernel that causes problems you will not be able to update and you very well may not be able to replace the hardware that is now incompatible."

Good luck. Don't forget to send in your Absentee Ballot from across the pond/border.

You're missing the big picture discussed further down in that text that comes after the title. We like to call that the "body", or the "article". The point being that if Apple destroys it's competition, it will be bad for Apple's future.
