You're not overly pedantic. Despite the title, the article does say "(yeah Starcraft was their last new game)", which it wasn't (Hearthstone was, unless I'm mistaken).

Considering the new consoles basically are PCs there is no reason that they can't using a single code base for PC and console versions any more, with periodic update forks to the last generation. That they haven't done that, and continue to make the console version the definitive version, just cements the appearance

You've still got at least 7 more years before you should get worried. After all, if Duke Nukem Forever can take 15 years to make, get horrible ratings and still make a profit then Final Fantasy shouldn't have any problems after only 10 years, regardless of how good it is.

And that is an automatic negative?

i.e. You want a Star Trek holodeck.

Now playing

Is it better than the Atari 2600 Space Shuttle Simulator?

You're missing the point. Destiny should be an Apple exclusive to cater to their original long-time hardcore fans. Without them there wouldn't have even been a Halo.

That's not true. FreeSpace 2 nicely filled the genre hole in 1999, two years after X-Wing vs Tie Fighter.

Any mention on mod support? Is the Frostbite Engine friendly in this respect or will it be more like the Unreal Engine in Mass Effect?

Games from 2006 are PC classics now? That makes me feel old.

The desktop swings up and the MC is underneath. I imagine the kid only gets to play with the MC once their homework is done.

Yet, by choosing to install said launcher and play said game you told Ubisoft that you were OK with them including Uplay as part of the package.

Yes, lots of people choose Uplay. Anyone who ever used it chose it. I doubt that any people were compelled with pain of death to buy, install and use a Uplay laden application.

I'm hardly an authority, but I would wager that anything without a return address is not that important or sensitive.

The solution would seem to be to have the player play as a China-man battling the United States.

Those unlucky souls who lost these gaming items are in luck, though, because they’ll be able to buy them back from the MTA.

That is quite the adjective set: "self entitled", "elitist", and "dumbass". How many people fall within that filter set, that you can still establish a "typical" baseline?

If a violent game can train me to assault a mall or snipe a highway, then an action movie can train me how to effectively manage my arsenal when under fire.

I blame it on the lobby scene in The Matrix.
