Their ability to do so was disabled very early on when the feature was first implemented because Gawker was being flooded with dead cats, porn, aborted fetuses, racist cartoons...but it was reestablished probably more than a year ago…

Exactly. This is your simple solution. When burners first came online they had to remove their picture sharing ability for this very reason. But then they brought it back like fucking morons.

Most of this problem could be solved by just taking away burner ability to post pictures. They did it before they can do it again. There is no need for them to have this privilege.

There is no reason for Burners to have image posting privileges. When burners first came online a massive influx of trolls used them to post porn, aborted fetuses, and dead cats...the tech people disabled their ability to post pictures. It was that easy. Just taking away that one thing would solve most of this problem.
