@Daniel Robert Clark: The American cars that most people seem to find interesting are either triumphs of styling or very good at going straight ahead very fast. To find something truly individual you have to look backward pretty far. For that we have Hemmings motor news.

The problem with the "Top Gear USA" concept is the "USA" part. No interesting cars over here.

@jedchev: If the pony shares rims with the 2cv, they are 15". The tires, however, would be 135R 13 at most, which is why they look small.

I used to regularly need to haul 4x8 plywood, gravel, bags of cement, lengths of PT lumber. For this I used my Geo Metro. And a utility trailer.
