@tonyola: Plus, passersby got to see the driver's, um, business.

@G-Ram: Or Sabine Schmit in a ford transit diesel.

Having seen numerous Ford Windstars with "Limited Traction Control" written on the tailgate, I see future career opportunities that give new meaning to the title "automotive editor"

@HurtsSoGood: They got the idea from VW. VW just took a gasoline engine and made a diesel out of it. And it worked (slowly, but at least it didn't blow up). I suspect that VW had diesel conversion in mind when they originally designed the Audi Fox's 1471cc four, however, a thought that probably hadn't occurred to

@bmoreDLJ: Extra points for lateral thinking!

@wrx-tyrannosaurusWrx: So would you rather your WRX be t-boned by an 1800 pound Geo Metro or a 6000 pound Ford Excursion? Light cars cause less damage in a crash and thus are safer to other road users.

@Motor_Yakuza: Don't be scared. The original CVCC 5 speed was a hoot. Way less beige than the current civic.

People convicted of following way too close (say, 1 second or closer) while driving SUVs that weigh more than 4000 lbs should be forbidden to drive anything that weights more than 2000 lbs.

I'm a bit confused. Given that going below the speed limit is now illegal, and going EXACTLY the limit isn't realistic, does this mean that in the "fast lane" the law now requires you to EXCEED the legal speed limit? How's that supposed to work?

@Baby beater Benz: Try driving at three speed bike in Delhi and you're dead after 24 hrs.

@brandegee: Apparently, they call it "the Magic Roundabout" It is, along with the Hanging Baskets of Babington, and the Elgin Llamas, one of the Seven Wonders of Swindon.

In the real world? VW 2.0 Tdi. Enough torque for most pick ups. Efficiency rivals a Prius.

@skay¢og: Especially when Hyacinth Bucket INSISTS that the Royal Warrant be visible.

@irishman72: And what, exactly, was he planning on buying on when he showed up at Home Depot with a 'Vette ? A 4x8? Couple of sacks of portland?

@tonyola: How about Mitsubishi Canter Guts?

@Jes St.Lawrence: Don't puree them. Grind them. The you have "Ground Troops".

@Baby beater Benz: Looks like the roof was parked in portland cement for about six months. Nice otherwise.
