I don’t agree with what they did if they did, in fact, cheat. But I have a bigger problem with the government potentially doing significant harm to an American company over 100K vehicles. If this could lead to American job losses, I don’t see how that helps anyone.

They’re not building these vehicles to sell them to people. They’re building them for ride sharing. The future of autonomous vehicles is a future where you don’t own a vehicle. Thus, the minivan makes perfect sense.
