That Cadillac program is now dead though. And pictured is the Taylor brother that didn’t get a Penske seat.

There is some talk of Ford entering the LMP1/DPI ranks in the future if the rules line up: http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/nair-ford-common-prototype-regs-the-obvious-opportunity/
Bill Ayers also.
Some of us can handle doing more than one thing at a time.
No one complains about Honda or Toyota and they’ve been building cars that way for decades.
Yep. From what I understand, Raj is the reason the GT exists.
Local guys rented the cheapest car possible and proceeded to hot lap it at our autocross. We run 3 groups and they had 3 different drivers using it so the car never got a break. ~30 runs in total.
The poll that shows Kid Rock at 40% is very suspect: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/fake-polls-are-a-real-problem/
I don’t think there is a single road in the Detroit area that is smooth enough for F1 cars. Funny enough, the roughness of the track was a complaint during the USGP’s held in Detroit in the 80s.
Regarding your second point:
I was surprised by the lack of SUVs in this article. Even a mid-2000s Explorer tows 7000 pounds if properly equipped and can be had dirt cheap due to how many they sold in the era. I bought a loaded 04 Explorer V8 AWD with 107k miles for $4500 last year.
Your biggest problems will be removing coolant deadspots (getting even coolant flow), accounting for thermal expansion/contraction, and how things distort under clamp loads. It’s not hard to make an engine like they did in the 1920's that makes a few horsepower but a reliable 100hp/L and above requires some pretty…
With such a small production run, I’d assume the majority of the parts were made off of soft tools or machining anyways so the “replica” parts are probably going to be made in a similar manner to the originals.
I tried to sit in the back seat of one of these once. That was the end of my interest in them.
Cody is a good guy but I cringed hard when I saw that gofundme pop up.
You realize that most drag strips don’t have safety personnel on staff unless it’s some major event right? I know our local drag strip’s safety precautions was a first aid kit during bracket racing on weekends. (IHRA sanctioned track)
Completely agree. They’re way quicker than 9 seconds btw. The Murder Nova is a 4.30's car in the 1/8th on a preped track and I would imagine a tube chassis probe is at least that fast.
