Yep. These guys have spotters and go to great lengths to find a place that is isolated. The moral outrage around here assuming all street racing is the same is pretty ignorant.

A lot of the “street racing” hype is trying to get a high horsepower car down an unprepped street/track. This equalizes the race somewhat as it turns it into a setup and driving race instead of just blank check horsepower.

They’re tube chassis cars, but not funny cars.

Definitely not the first. Bob Glidden had Probe pro stock cars back in the day.

Cadillac and Lincoln are going after different markets. Cadillac is trying to be BMW while Lincoln is trying to be a true luxury car.

Yeah, I don’t get Tesla’s valuation. It’s priced for perfection when they have a pretty bad track record of execution and a make or break product about to launch.

Ford is paying a 5.39% dividend right now so you’d be over 110k in 2 years assuming the stock is flat.

“Of course the Ford Raptor doesn’t have very much of a tow capacity”

The Raptor has a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds...

Is there a reason anyone would want to?

Nobody knew car production could be so complicated

I feel like this might be the bigger takeaway in the article that shows just how naive Musk is:

No, the worst a supplier can do is say “yes” and then not deliver.

I didn’t realize Eddie Bauer was anything more than a trim level on Ford products for way longer than I would like to admit.

I will never talk shit about wood trim again.

They aren’t far off:

I don’t either, but that wasn’t what we were talking about nor was that the argument in the post of yours that I replied to.

How do you expect him to race IMSA while running a 36 race NASCAR schedule? He can grab a seat at the longer races (Daytona mainly, but maybe Sebring/Petit as well) but there is no way he’ll get one of the primary seats on a team without running the full schedule.

Lets not forget that he has a Rolex 24 win and that’s the biggest road racing event you can win on this continent.
